When Confidence
Finds Its Voice

As a filmmaker and content creator, Khairul is usually behind the lens, directing the story. But for our first TRIIIPLE campaign, the spotlight shifted—revealing not just a face, but a layered voice in the ongoing conversation around confidence, culture, and self-expression.

“Your confidence isn’t something to dim down. It’s not arrogance. It’s armor. Protect it, nurture it. One day, it’ll be the loudest thing in the room without saying a word.”
What would you say to your younger self about confidence?

What’s something people never expect about you?
My life seems put-together—like I’ve got everything scheduled, structured, sorted. But my room? Total chaos. It’s a nest. Controlled chaos, if you will.
Talk to us about representation. Why does it matter?
Imagine a young Malay boy—someone who looks like I did—flipping through media and seeing someone like me. That moment of reflection? That’s powerful. It tells him: you belong here too.

What’s something you used to hide but now fully own?
My hair. I used to hate its natural growth pattern. Always wore caps to hide it. Now? I play with it. I let it grow wild, experiment with styles, and let it tell its own story.
In your eyes, what’s the most underrated form of attraction?
Someone’s voice. The tone, the laugh, the rhythm of how they speak—it lingers. It draws you in without trying.

If TRIIIPLE were a person, what kind of energy would they have?
That person who's magnetic in a crowd, but even more compelling in a one-on-one conversation. Curious, open, and not afraid to get weird—in the best way.
